k michelle & memphitz*Wow, one would hate to think someone would go this far for ratings. But then again, this is Hollywood, and this is reality TV.

We’re just sayin’…

Now that season 1 of the hit VH1 reality show, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is a done deal, K. Michelle’s alleged beater, Memphitz, has filed a federal lawsuit against Viacom International, Inc., NFGTV, Inc., Monami Entertainment, LLC and Mona Scott, for slander of his character. Seems K. Michelle wore out the platform she was given to be heard on the show, and went into detail about her struggles in the music industry; and pointed fingers at those who gave her beef.

Though she didn’t exactly mention Mickey “Memphitz” Wright as the music executive that gave her a beat down following a heated argument by name, her strong insinuation left little room for doubt; especially when everyone knows she was signed by Jive Records; which is under Memphitz’s “Hitz Committee” imprint.

Memphitz is beyond pissed. He has continued to maintain his innocence in the alleged incident, and issued the following statement,

“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character,” says Memphitz. “The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation, and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”

Memphitz says the new lawsuit is not about revenge, instead it’s about defending his professional reputation from the malicious false and misleading statements made on the show.

And check this, Wright is suing the named Defendants for approximately one dollar per viewer, per show, for damages that stem from the defamatory statements and denigrating actions of cast member Kimberly Michelle Pate a/k/a “K. Michelle.”

Memphitz’s attorney, Conti J. Moore, Esq. adds,

“Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.”

The show may have ended, but you know the drama will continue, no doubt.
